Search for Henry McCabe expands to New Brighton, Minn.

The latest clue in the disappearance of Department of Revenue auditor Henry McCabe led family and friends to expand their search to New Brighton, Minn. Saturday.

The 32-year-old Mounds View man has been missing since Sept. 7, when police say he left a night club in Spring Lake Park and got dropped off at a gas station in Fridley. However, pings from McCabe’s cell phone indicate he may have been in the vicinity of Creekview Park in New Brighton.

Police also recently discovered McCabe called not only his wife that night, but his brother and left a voicemail. Although the message is hard to understand, the emotion heard in McCabe’s voice adds to the mystery.

Volunteers have spent the last several weekends handing out flyers with McCabe’s photo, hoping they can get some answers.

"I'm hoping someone might recognize his face and it might jog their memory of hearing or seeing anything that night,” McCabe’s wife Kareen says.
