Two school buses in Minneapolis collided this morning, pushing one into a nearby house and injuring two children.

Police responded to a call of a two-bus crash around 9:20 a.m. at E 36th St. and S 1st Ave., according to Minneapolis police spokesperson John Elder. Upon arrival, officers discovered two buses had run into each other, with one going into the corner of a nearby house.

One of the buses was carrying 13 students on their way to school. Two of the students were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The drivers of both buses also sustained minor seatbelt injuries.

The house has minor structural damage. One individual was inside the home at the time of the crash, but was not injured.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating whether any mechanical malfunctions with the buses contributed to the crash.
