Pipe bomb found behind Ramsey fire station

RAMSEY, Minn. (KMSP) - A man is in custody at Anoka County Jail after police found a pipe bomb behind a fire station in Ramsey, according to Ramsey police.
Captain Brad Bluml says just before 3:30 p.m. a witness reported seeing a man place a pipe bomb in a wooded area behind the Ramsey fire house on Alpine Drive.
Police and fire responders secured the area and found the pipe bomb in the woods between the fire station and a power substation.
The bomb squad came in, determined the pipe bomb was explosive and deactivated it safely.
Police executed a search warrant on a nearby home and arrested a man on suspicion of charges for explosive and incendiary devices.
A woman was also arrested on suspicion of controlled substances.
