MPD investigating homicide after downtown shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Minneapolis Police are investigating a homicide after a man was fatally shot in downtown Minneapolis last Wednesday.
At 9:14 p.m. on Dec. 13, officers were called to a shooting on the 1400 block of Portland Avenue South. When they arrived, they found a 34-year-old man inside a nearby home with a gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where he later died. The victim has not been identified.
Minneapolis Police are investigating the death as a homicide.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the shooting. Charges are expected on Monday.
