Missing Delano, Minnesota man found dead, had heart 'as big as this earth'

A Delano, Minnesota man reported missing on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 19 was found dead Wednesday evening in a swampy area just outside of the city.

According to the Wright County sheriff’s office, 31-year-old Aaron Luebke had not been seen since 11 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18 after leaving the Thirsty Buffalo in Buffalo.

Just before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, searchers found Luebke’s Honda Civic near the intersection of 65th Street and Farmington Avenue in a swampy area just outside Delano. Luebke was found approximately 15 feet from the vehicle, deceased.

Luebke’s sister shared the following message through the Minnesota United volunteer search group:

“Thank you to everyone who showed up to search, prayers, your calls, messages and texts. I will do my best to keep everyone updated as we make arrangements. Delano, you have our hearts. We made things happen and fast. This is our family’s worst nightmare and we are still processing so please bear with us. More details to come. Please, hug your families a little tighter today. Tell them you love them and if you are struggling, please know there is always someone to help you. To our friends and family, stay strong and make good choices. Aaron would want that, his heart is as big as this earth and he worries more than any Mom.”
