Minnesota 100 Club dinner raises money for families of fallen officers
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The annual dinner for the Minnesota 100 Club took place at Jax Cafe in northeast Minneapolis.
The event raised money for families of fallen or injured first responders. The organization works to give immediate aid to the families to help with medical, funeral or other unexpected expenses.
One of this year's speakers was Wayzata Police Chief Mike Risvold. The Minnesota 100 Club helped the family of Wayzata Officer Bill Mathews, who was killed in the line of duty two years ago.
The organization also gave over $17,000 to the family of fallen DNR Conservation Officer Eugene Wynn.
