Minneapolis-Tampa flight makes emergency return to MSP

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Delta Flight 2802 from Minneapolis to Tampa returned to MSP Airport late Friday morning after the crew detected the smell of something burning.

Delta could not be reached for comment, but in a statement to the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal said the crew “elected to return to MSP out of an abundance of caution.”

Passengers were placed on a different flight and continued to Tampa.
