Man returned some items from lost wallet, letter

NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - Reilly Flaherty, 28, of Brooklyn lost his wallet on Feb. 5 while at a concert.  Two weeks later, he received some of the contents in the mail in a white envelope along with a letter explaining why.

Flaherty took to social media to share a photo of the letter.

"I found your wallet, and your drivers license had your address so here's your credit cards and other important stuff. I kept the cash because I needed weed, the MetroCard because, well, the fare's $2.75 now, and the wallet 'cause it's kinda cool. Enjoy the rest of your day. Toodles, Anonymous."

Speaking with FOX 5 NY morning program 'Good Day New York' on Wednesday, Flaherty said he's most concerned with the thief knowing where he lives.

“We’ve got this modern day, pot smoking Robin Hood who knows where I live, knows my blood type, knows I’m an organ donor and is walking around with a cool wallet," said Flaherty.

The Kennebunkport, Maine native had a message for the robber.

"Let's meet. Let's have coffee," said Flaherty.
