After seeing the story on Fox 9 of a North St. Paul woman whose Christmas lights never showed up after paying over $1,000, a generous man came to Sarah Prigge’s door Monday with thousands of lights to install for free.

“I just wanted to try to make it right," David Felt, owner of Russel Williams Home Services, said. "Christmas is supposed to be about doing the right thing and helping people out, and we wanted to do a donation for her display."

He and a fellow employee put up a similar display to the one she ordered and never received.

“We’re doing what she wanted to do originally, which was outlining the roof line and the garage. And the big maple tree, she wanted to put thousands of lights on it so we’re doing that.”

Felt told Fox 9 it’s the small things that make a big difference for people.

“When I talked to Sarah this morning she was pretty happy, she said she was speechless that someone was willing to do something for her."
