Man dies in Rice County snowmobile crash early Sunday morning

WEBSTER TOWNSHIP, Minn. (FOX 9) - A snowmobiler in Rice County is dead after a crash Sunday in northern Rice County.
According to the Rice County Sheriff’s Office, a 37-year-old male was reported missing after leaving a residence in Webster Township and never arriving at his destination in the city of Northfield before 2 a.m. Sunday morning.
A search effort in Webster, Bridgewater and Forest Townships led to the man’s retrieval on the 6000 block of Hazelwood Avenue in Webster Township before 4 a.m. Sunday.
The man was pronounced dead at Northfield Hospital Sunday. The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of the family.
