Man dies in Minneapolis alleyway shooting, no arrests yet

A man was killed in a shooting late Saturday night in north Minneapolis.

According to Minneapolis police, at 10:08 p.m., police responded to a ShotSpotter report of numerous shots fired in the alley on the 3600 block between Penn and Queen Avenue North. Calls into 911 also reported the sound of shots fired.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The officers performed medical treatment until paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Officers canvassed the area and spoke with several people who may have heard or seen something.

The Medical Examiner will identify the victim at a later time.
