Man dies after being hit by train in Fridley, Minnesota

FRIDLEY, Minn. (FOX 9) - A train hit and killed a man in Fridley, Minnesota Wednesday morning. 

According to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office,  at 7:12 a.m., Fridley police and firefighters responded to a report of an Amtrak train hitting an person near the 8200 block of Ashton Avenue Northeast. 

When responding officers arrived on scene, they found a man deceased. 

The incident is currently under investigation.
