Investigation showed Chaska teens' deadly crash caused by driving too fast at corner

CHASKA, Minn. (FOX 9) - The search for 19-year-old cousins Zeynab Abdalla and Bushra Abdi started with a frantic call to 911.

An autopsy later revealed the cause of death as an accidental drowning.

Surveillance video showed one of the last times anyone saw Abdi as she left her overnight shift at a senior living facility to meet up with her cousin, who was also on work break.

Documents from the investigation show that it was a single car crash and the result of the driver going too fast on a turn.

It was nothing suspicious as nothing suggested foul play. It was simply a tragic accident with a heartbreaking ending.
