I-35W Bridge to be lit in blue for Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

The Interstate 35W Bridge in Minneapolis will be lit up in blue on Monday night in recognition of Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

“Every day and night, law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to protect and serve communities across our state,” said Governor Mark Dayton. “Today, we recognize the service and sacrifice of those brave men and women, and their families. Minnesota is a safer, stronger, better state thanks to their unwavering service.”

Governor Mark Dayton proclaimed Monday, Jan. 9 Law Enforcement Appreciation Day in Minnesota to recognize the "service and sacrifice of law enforcement officials in Minnesota and around the country," according to a statement. 

In addition to the bridge, the windows of the Governor's Residence will also be lit in blue.
