France Election Update: Macron campaign hacked just before election day

Voters in France head to the polls after a candidate's campaign was hacked, before a mandatory blackout on campaigning and media coverage.

One of the finalists, Emmanuel Macron, was the victim of said leak. France's election campaign commission called it, "a significant amount of data" that was leaked from his campaign.

Over 14 gigabytes of emails and personal and business documents were leaked onto social networks. Much of what was leaked includes what appears to be fake news mixed with real information from Macron's campaign.

Macron is seen as the favorite against far right candidate Marine Le Pen.
