Fire at Forsman Farms in Howard Lake burns chicken barn
HOWARD LAKE, Minn. (FOX 9) - An early morning fire at Forsman Farms in Howard Lake led to several agencies responding to contain the blaze, and authorities asking residents to conserve their water usage in an effort to help them.

What we know:
According to Wright County officials, around 5:30 a.m. authorities received a report of a fire at a barn located at 6339 Mowery Ave SW in Howard Lake.
Wright County Deputies say they responded to the scene and located a barn on fire upon their arrival. Fire departments from Cokato, Howard Lake, Waverly, Dassel, Litchfield, Winsted and Montrose also responded to provide help.
According to the latest update, the fire is believed to be contained to one barn.
What we don't know:
Authorities have not yet provided details on how the fire began.

According to its site, Forsman Farms processes more than 6 million eggs per day in the form of shell and liquid, delivering products to "some of the nation’s largest retailers and food service companies." The fourth-generation farm has been in business for more than 100 years, the company says.
Among its partnerships, the company says it works with McDonald’s to, "help them fulfill their commitment to source 100% of their eggs from cage-free hens."
In 2022, a fire broke out at Forsman Farms that left thousands of chickens dead.
