Federal open enrollment deadline doesn't apply to Minnesota
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - Federal open enrollment deadlines of Dec. 15 do not apply to Minnesota. The open enrollment deadline for the MNsure health insurance marketplace runs through Jan. 14, 2018.
Minnesotans shopping for health insurance with Jan. 1 coverage have until next Wednesday, Dec. 20, to enroll.
MNsure has extended its open enrollment deadline to ensure Minnesotans had enough time to compare plans before enrolling. MNsure has also extended its contact center hours in the days leading up to the Dec. 20 deadline:
Sunday, Dec. 17, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Monday, Dec. 18, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 19, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 20, 8 a.m. to midnight
