Driver sought in E. Lake Street hit-and-run

Minneapolis Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver who was involved in a hit-and-run crash in August.

Surveillance video captured the crash, which took place on Aug. 7 at the intersection of E. Lake Street and South 19th Avenue shortly after 9 p.m. A motorcycle headed east on E. Lake Street collided with a white car turning left onto South 19th Avenue. The white car is then seen continuing to drive south on 19th Avenue.

The motorcycle driver suffered serious injuries in the crash.

The surveillance footage shows several people filming the aftermath of the crash. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has video of the incident is asked to contact the MPD Officer Bryon Cross at 612-673-3442.
