Delano ice palace forced to close Sunday due to vandalism
DELANO, Minn. (FOX 9) - The Ice Palace in Delano was closed on Sunday after officials said the icy attraction was targeted by vandals.

What we know:
Officials announced on Sunday the palace would close for the day due to some vandalism, combined with the warm-up last week.
"Unfortunately, the Ice Palace suffered some vandalization last night that, combined with the warmer weather today, has brought forth the difficult decision to close today (Sun. Feb. 2) to repair the damage," the post reads.
The backstory:
The palace is open weekends, Thursday through Sundays, during the winter. Officials said they expected it to reopen as normal on Thursday.
The palace is set up in Delano Central Park and expects to remain open at least through February.
What we don't know:
The exact nature of the vandalism is not clear.
