Crash involving 2 semis briefly closes I-90 east of Rochester

A crash involving mulitple vehicles, including two semi trucks, on eastbound I-90 briefly closed a portion of the highway just east of Rochester, Minnesota Wednesday.

The Rochester Fire Department responded to the scene around 1 p.m.

When firefighters arrived they found one person with non-life threatening injuries trapped inside a vehicle. The highway had to be closed in order for the responders to get the person out.

Eyota Ambulance Service, Olmstead County Sheriff's Office and Minnesota State Patrol also responded to the crash.

Once the crews cleared the road of debris, it was reopened.

Fire officials are asking drivers to limit their travel until weather conditions improve.
