ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - From Aerosmith's Steven Tyler mugging for our camera to a quick hello from Ben Affleck walking the red carpet, it was an A-list affair at the 17th annual Starkey Hearing Foundation Gala.
The Eden Prairie-based company makes hearing aids for people around the world, and holds the event every year to give back to the less fortunate.
Affleck was honored for his humanitarian work with the Eastern Congo Initiative, which provides economic and healthcare opportunities to the people who live there.
"More than anything with my work the ECI, I've learned that small acts matter, they can transform lives and communities," he said. "There is no better example of this than what Starkey Hearing does all over the world."
Adrian Peterson was also in attendance, saying it's a chance to give back and reconnect with old friends.
"It's like my second home," Peterson said. "Just to be back here is fun."
