6 Hy-Vee trail mix products recalled

Hy-Vee is recalling six trail mix products due to a possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination with the sunflower kernels, according to a news release.

SunOpta, Hy-Vee’s supplier, started recalling sunflower products that were produced at the company’s Minnesota facility between February 20 and April 20. So far no illnesses have been reported in connection to the trail mix products, but Hy-Vee is recalling them as a precautionary measure.

The specific items affected include:

• Hy-Vee Caramel Cashew Honey Crunch Trail Mix — sold in 24 oz. bags with the UPC number 75450040586 and with a “best by” date of April 5, 2017
