3 dead in 2 fatal crashes in Isanti County in 24 hours

An Osceloa, Minn. man is dead after his car collided with a semi-truck on Highway 95 near Cambridge Friday night. Wet roads may have contributed to the crash, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The car was traveling eastbound on Highway 95 when it crossed over the center line and collided with a semi-truck travelling westbound.

The 55-year-old driver, who was the only person in the car, was pronounced dead on the scene. No alcohol was detected in his system, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The driver of the semi was a 58-year-old man from Dalbo, Minn. He was transported to the Cambridge Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The Isanti County sheriff’s office said on their Facebook page this was the third car crash death in Isanti County in less than 24 hours.

A 53-year-old and a 31-year-old man died in a head on collision on Highway 65 near Braham around 11 p.m. on Thursday night. Alcohol may have been a factor, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The crash is still under investigation.
