25-year-old found dead overnight in Minneapolis shooting, suspect at large

A 25-year-old male has been identified in a deadly overnight shooting in Minneapolis.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office ruled Darrell Williams Jr's death as a homicide.

Minneapolis police officers responded to a report of a sound of shots heard in the area of 34th and Colfax Avenue North around 9 p.m. on Friday. Upon arrival, officers located Darrell Williams Jr. deceased in the street.

The suspect fled on foot prior to officers arrival. Minneapolis police interviewed a number of witnesses and people in the area. Authorities said it is not believed to be a random incident. No one is in custody at this time.
