2 injured in afternoon shooting in north Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Two men were injured in a shooting in north Minneapolis Sunday afternoon.
Minneapolis police responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of Penn Avenue N. and 35 Avenue N. shortly after 4:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found two men with gunshot wounds sitting inside a parked vehicle.
The victims were transported to North Memorial Hospital. One of the men remains in critical condition. The other suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Over the next few days, Minneapolis police say officers from the 4th Precinct will be speaking with concerned community members about the shooting and other crime in the area.
