12 confirmed measles cases in Minnesota

(KMSP) - The Minnesota Department of Health confirmed another measles case, bringing the total to 12 cases.
All of the cases are in Hennepin County and involve Somali-American children who were not vaccinated. All the children are five years old or younger.
Symptoms involve high fever, cough, and runny nose followed by a rash that covers the entire body.
Health officials say the best protection against the virus is getting vaccinated.
