Minneapolis hosts X Games at U.S. Bank Stadium starting Thurs.

The X Games starts Thursday at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis – the first time the extreme sports event has ever been held here.

After 10 days of setup, including sculpting truckloads of dirt, U.S. Bank Stadium has been transformed into a world-class extreme sports venue with dedicated courses for skateboarding, BMX biking and motocross events.

Tens of thousands of fans are in the Twin Cities to watch some of the best athletes from around the world. The competition begins at 5 p.m. on Thursday and runs through Sunday.
