'Indecent' comes to the Guthrie Theater

The Guthrie Theater continues its tradition of bringing ground-breaking new works to Minneapolis with its production of Indecent.  The critically acclaimed new play with music is making its first post-Broadway production at the Guthrie.

Successfully running on Broadway in the spring and summer of 2017, the reimagined production is playing the Wurtele Thrust Stage at the Guthrie now through March 24th.

Inspired by the 1923 Broadway debut of The God of Vengeance - a play that follows a Jewish brothel owner and the lesbian romance between his daughter and a prostitute - Indecent follows the journey of the drama's coming to life. Indecent by Paula Vogel, is directed by Wendy C. Goldberg.

The FOX 9 Buzz was excited to welcome two of the original Broadway stars, who also are appearing in the Guthrie's production, to the FOX 9 studios for a discussion about the play.  Watch the segment with Ben Cherry and Lisa Gutkin above.
