If you're looking for a vacation fit for a postcard, you'd be hard-pressed to find a location more perfect than the Hawaiian island of Maui. But this week, the tropical paradise has looked more like a wasteland after wildfires killed dozens of people.

A relatively small fire has been spotted in the Superior National Forest near Ely, Minnesota.

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has issued another air quality alert for northern Minnesota because of smoke from wildfires in Canada. 

The alert is due to a narrow band of heavy smoke from wildfires in Canada moving into Minnesota by northwest winds, according to the MPCA.

More smoke from wildfires burning in Canada has sparked another air quality alert for parts of northern and west-central Minnesota into Tuesday.

An air quality alert issued for the entire state has been extended for parts of southern Minnesota through Sunday afternoon.
