There?s also family-friendly Halloween fun at the ?Great Pumpkin Fest? including a Peanuts musical adventure called ?The Monsters are Coming, Charlie Brown!? a Great Pumpkin Parade and corn maize.

The season of cheer has begun unseasonably early for one Minneapolis restaurant. Psycho Suzi?s is now ?Mary?s Christmas Palace.? Almost every inch of the tiki bar is covered in garland and Christmas lights and they?re offering up a full holiday-themed experience from drinks served inside ornaments to sugar-cookie decorating kits.

The Como Zoo and Conservatory gained to new wolves into its Wolf Woods habitat. The zoo also opened a new traveling exhibit from Ely, Minnesota's International Wolf Center designed to educate visitors about wolves and their relationship to humans.

Hardworking pups will be competing this weekend for the title of top dog. Saturday, September 25th is the ?Star of the North Sheepherding Trial? at Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista. Border collies and their handlers will showcase their skills for all to see. The farm will also be celebrating the start of fall with llamas available for walking, feltmaking, a traditional Mongolian yurt and a taste of the garden tour.

Angel Food Bakery opening in St. Louis Park
Angel Food Bakery has moved, and opens in its new St. Louis Park location on Friday. The bakery has expanded its offerings adding a coffee bar and an ice lollie shop called FrioFrio. The ice lollies are handmade and come in unique flavors like avocado lime, grapefruit-carrot-ginger and strawberry-balsamic-basil. They can be dipped in icing and sprinkled with toppings like fruity pebbles and oreos. The shops are in the newly renovated Texa-Tonka Shopping Center.

Minnesota?s oldest athletic association is celebrating 150 years. The Minnesota Boat Club has been rowing in St. Paul since 1870 and is still based in its original location on Raspberry Island. To commemorate the anniversary there will be rowing races, and historic boat house tours this weekend. The events run Saturday, September 11th from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Sunday from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Megan Baker owns The Thirsty Whale Bakery in Minneapolis. A customer who knew someone involved with the show, suggested giving Baker a spot in the competition. She spent more than two weeks filming. The show premieres on Monday, September 13th on Food Network and Discovery+.

The Minneapolis Cider Co. opened in 2019 after a trip to Europe inspired the founders to create the same cider experience here. When the doors opened, there was extra space so the owners decided to put in a few pickleball courts. The pickleball leagues took off and two years later they?ve added more courts and an event center. The official unveiling is happening Friday September 10th at 3pm. Admission is free. There will be live music, s?mores, cider and of course pickleball.

In the wake of unrest last summer and the pandemic, the Black Entrepreneur State Fair was created. It was seen as a way to bring the community together, in a neighborhood that was hurting to support minority-owned businesses. It was a success and is back for year two. The fair is in the parking lot of the Midtown Global Market in Minneapolis. There are food vendors, 60 local makers, music and a kid zone with bounce houses and games. The Black Entrepreneur State Fair runs through August 28th, 11am to 8pm daily at Chicago Ave and Lake St.
