Japan?s favorite donut has arrived in Minnesota and a St. Paul shop is baking them up fresh all day long, seven days a week. Soga Mochi Donut is inside Dragon Star Oriental Foods. The mochi donut is made up of eight doughy circles that are both crispy and chewy. There are at least two more mochi donut shops opening in the next year, one in Dinkytown and the other in Eden Prairie.

Minnesota?s talented designers are in the spotlight this week. It?s Spring Fashion Week and there are shows every night through Saturday. One of the events celebrates Asian American Pacific Islander creatives. Coalesce Collective hits the runway at Allianz Field on April 30th. The event is sold out but can still be livestreamed.

A new co-working space has moved in beneath the Uptown CVS. The Wilderness is full of light and greenery and a ninja warrior course. The experience is all about creating a healthier and happier work environment. The co-owners both competed on the show American Ninja Warrior and offer classes to members. The Wilderness also boasts a yoga studio, a theater room, game room and speakeasy for private events.

New Shipwreck Adventure exhibit opens in the Minnesota Children?s Museum
The Minnesota Children?s Museum has a new exhibit that gives kids a chance to go underwater and explore a shipwreck. The permanent exhibit takes up much of the first floor. It?s modeled after a the real shipwreck of the J.S. Seaverns in Lake Superior. The museum worked with the diver who discovered the shipwreck for guidance on the ship?s design. The former Gander Mountain space in Eden Prairie is undergoing a major transformation. It?ll be the metros? first Asian mall. It?ll house several restaurants, a large Asian grocery store and office space. The Asia Mall is projected to open in June of 2022.

The 90?s are making a comeback in the fashion world and those bike shorts and flannel shirts will be the perfect attire for a new dive bar in Stillwater. The Wild Hare is plastered with 90?s album covers, street art and even a payphone. The nostalgic bar isn?t dishing up 90?s cuisine. Instead, they?re serving up organic food with plenty of gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. The bar is open Sunday to Thursday from 11am to 9pm and on Friday and Saturday from 11am to 10pm. The Wild Hare is located at 218 Main Street North.

One year ago, Food & Wine Magazine named Lindstrom Bakery?s Scandinavian Donut the best in Minnesota. A few months later, the longtime owner put the iconic shop on the market. And now, for the first time in nearly 50 years, the bakery has new owners. The Richey family worked with the former owner for 36 days to get the recipes and methods just right. Eric and Angie say it was always their dream to own a bakery or caf? in a small town and they couldn?t pass up this opportunity. They do have plans to expand the bakery into a farm to table caf? but they will continue making the long-time favorites. The bakery is open Tuesday through Friday 6am to 4pm and on Saturday from 7am to 3pm.

The Burrow took over the former Big Thrill Factory space right off 694. It?s quite a bit larger than the Victoria location and offers axe throwing, outdoor mini golf, arcade games, go-karts and a more adult-focused lounge with table tennis, mini bowling and game simulators with options like golf, basketball and zombie dodge ball.

The company has three flavors, vanilla bean, chocolate chip and caramel swirl. Their headquarters is in Long Lake. Pre-pandemic they were consistently busy bringing their s?more bars to events. After events were shutdown they created s?more and hot chocolate kits that have been hot sellers online.

Several Twin Cities cheer squads qualified and traveled to Nationals but only a few brought home the hardware including the Game Day cheerleaders for Edina. The team took 2nd in the D1 Large Varsity Game Day category.
For high school cheerleaders, a trip to Orlando, Florida in February means competing in the pinnacle of cheer competitions. Several Twin Cities cheer squads qualified and traveled to Nationals but only a few brought home the hardware including the Game Day cheerleaders for Edina. Pickleball courts are replacing tennis courts all over the Twin Cities both in parks and gyms. It's America's fastest growing sport and Life Time is banking on its popularity continuing to grow. The company converted it?s Bloomington North location into its first-ever pickleball only location. There are five international competitive level courts with viewing areas for future tournaments. You do need to have a ?signature membership? to use the facility. It opens on Sunday, February 20th.

America?s ghost story will be on display at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. The new exhibit titled ?Supernatural America, The Paranormal in American Art? explores the unexplainable. Much of the work is based on the artists? real-life encounter with the otherworldly. The exhibit is in the Target Gallery. It opens on Saturday, February 19th and runs through May 15th.

Grab your skates, golf clubs, yoga mat, and trek out on icy Wayzata Bay this weekend. The Chilly Open is back after taking last year off. The golf tournament brings more than one-thousand people to Lake Minnetonka. The tournament is sold out, but there are other events taking place including Cinema & Skate and Snowga, yoga in the snow.
