Vikings coach Mike Zimmer has 'minor medical procedure'

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer had a “minor medical procedure” Tuesday morning, the team announced. Zimmer’s 4 p.m. news conference was canceled.
In 2014, Zimmer underwent two procedures for kidney stones.
The Vikings lost 20-10 Monday night to the Chicago Bears. The Vikings defense allowed Bears rookie running back Jordan Howard to rush for 153 yards and a touchdown, while Jay Cutler threw for 252 and a touchdown in his first game back from a thumb injury.
Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford was sacked 5 times, and the Vikings offense didn’t find the endzone until a Stefon Diggs touchdown catch with 5:41 left.
The Vikings have lost two consecutive games after starting the season a league-best 5-0. They return home to U.S. Bank Stadium next Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
