Twins sweep Royals, 1st 3-0 start to season since 2007

The Minnesota Twins swept the Kansas City Royals with a 5-3 win in the final game of the series Thursday afternoon.

The Twins opened their season at Target Field on Monday with a 7-1 win over the Royals. They went on to earn their second win on Wednesday 9-1. It's the first 3-0 start to the season in a decade.

Last season, it took the Twins 10 games to get their first win. In total, they finished the season with 103 losses.

The Twins look to continue their winning streak as they head to Chicago this weekend. They will face the White Sox on Friday at 7:10 p.m.
