A Roseville, Minn. girl and her beloved stuffed animal endured many hospital stays, transfusions and surgeries together, but when she lost Hammy the cow, the Timberwolves stepped in to provide some comfort -- a new stuffed friend she aptly named "Wiggy."

Hammy has been traveling with Hannah for more than 30 procedures over the past four years, and he, too, has had all of the same procedures she’s endured. At the end of February, Hammy fell out of Hannah’s backpack on her way to a benefit being held in her honor at Kieran’s in downtown Minneapolis to raise money for a bone marrow transplant. Hannah and her dad had parked in Ramp A, used the skyway to go past the Target Center, took the skyway into Mayo Clinic Square, then took elevators that faced the Target Center to the street level.

Fox 9's initial report caught the attention of the Minnesota Timberwolves, whose offices are located along Hannah and her dad's path, and they wanted to help however they could. While a beloved stuffed friend can't be replaced, Timberwolves VP of Communications Brad Ruiter said, another companion may help ease the pain.

The club invited Hannah and her family to the March 8 Timberwolves-Spurs matchup at Target Center, where Wolves guard Tyus Jones presented her with a stuffed dog to be named "Wiggy," signed by Wiggy himself, Andrew Wiggins.
