Rachel Banham impresses Kobe (and everyone else) with buzzer beater

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Not only is Rachel Banham getting consistent praise from Kobe Bryant, the Gophers star is getting Kobe-level attention from national media and basketball fans across the country.

Banham made a big splash with her NCAA record 60-point game at Northwestern, then made headlines and highlight reels again Monday night with a buzzer-beating, fall-away 3-pointer to give Minnesota a 78-76 win over Big Ten rival Iowa.

The big shot earned Banham a shout-out from Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, who said she has #MambaBlood (a reference to Bryant's self-prescribed Black Mamba nickname):
