The Minnesota Vikings' No. 23 draft pick Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell toured the Twin Cities on Friday, including a meet-and-greet with fans at Buffalo Wild Wings in Edina and a press conference at Winter Park.

He told fans he will wear No. 11 with the Vikings, same as the last Ole Miss wide reciever to play for Minnesota -- Mike Wallace.

'He's the best blocking wide receiver I’ve ever seen'

Last season, the 20-year-old junior tallied 82 catches for 1,153 yards, plus three touchdowns in his team's Sugar Bowl win over Oklahoma State.

Back at Winter Park after the pick, Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said he made no calls to move up in the draft.

"One of the things we talked about was getting a big receiver with a big catching radius," head coach Mike Zimmer said. “He's the best blocking wide receiver I’ve ever seen."

3-year-old daughter Madison steals the show

When Laquon Treadwell was drafted No. 23 overall by the Minnesota Vikings, he brought his 3-year-old daughter, Madison, onto the stage in Chicago to share his life-changing moment. Madison greeted NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell with a high-five and had an ear-to-ear grin when his purple Vikings jersey was presented.
