Former University of Minnesota Gopher hockey player Mike Reilly is back on the Twin Cities hockey scene as the new player for the Minnesota Wild.

For any Minnesota kid on skates, growing up to play for their home state’s professional team is only a hockey hope, but for Reilly it is a dream come true.

The Chanhassen native shined in high school and scored goal after goal with the Gophers. He made his NHL debut with the Wild last weekend and has appeared in all of the team’s last three games.
