Young girl killed in hit-and-run crash in Aitkin Co.

AITKIN, Minn. (KMSP) - Brainerd State Patrol is responding to a fatal hit-and-run crash that involved a young girl in Aitkin County.

According to an online crash report, the crash happened around 8 p.m. at 38714 Highway 18, which is near 240th Street.

The victim has been identified as 10-year-old Caylin Donovan of Lake Park, Minn.

Investigators are asking the public's help finding a possible witness to the crash this evening. Authorities are looking for the driver of a white Ford pickup pulling a white fifth-wheel camper with black trim who was in the area and may have witnessed the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
