Woman dies in Lakeville crash

LAKEVILLE, Minn. (KMSP) - Lakeville Police say a 34-year-old woman died in a fatal crash at the intersection of Granada Avenue and County Road 46, according to a press release.
Authorities have identified the woman as Sara Ward of Richfield.
Crews responded to the call at about 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Ward was found dead at the scene.
Officials say Ward was a passenger was in car that was turning southbound into a shopping center from westbound County Road 46. The car turned into the path of an SUV going eastbound.
The 34-year-old driver of the car received severe injuries and was taken to the hospital. The 29-year-old man driving the SUV had minor injuries.
The crash closed eastbound County Road 46 until 8:00 p.m.
The crash is still under investigation.
