WANTED: Burglar sexually assaulted 9-year-old, sheriff says

ANOKA COUNTY, Minn. (KMSP) - The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help to find a man who is suspected of sexual assault of a nine-year-old girl and several burglaries, according to a press release.

28-year-old Jarid Troy Alan Jovanovich is suspected of entering homes in the Columbia Heights and St. Anthony area early Sunday morning. In one incident, Jovanovich is believed to have entered a home and sexually assaulted a nine-year-old girl.

Jovanovich is described as being 6’3”, 195 pounds. On the night of the alleged assault, he was seen wearing a white baseball cap and red shirt.

Since the incident, he was seen in the St. Anthony Park area and in South Minneapolis.

Police are unsure if he is armed, but are asking the public to act with caution if they do see him.
