Coffee lovers in the Twin Cities will soon have another option. Tim Hortons announced it's opening two locations in Minnesota.

The iconic Canadian coffee brewer will open at Mall of America on level 2, near the rotunda next month.

“Tim Hortons is a great addition to our expanding and eclectic mix of fast casual options throughout Mall of America,” said Carrie Charleston, VP of Leasing at Mall of America. “We are thrilled for this growing international brand to join the Mall of America family.”

The company says following the opening of the Mall of America location, it will open in Dinkytown. An exact date has not been set.

“Bringing the Tim Hortons brand to Minnesota is something we are really excited about,” said Felipe Athayde, President of Tim Hortons® US. “We have full trust that our partners at RDP will bring the Tim Hortons passion for great coffee, food and community involvement to the neighborhoods and guests across the Twin Cities.”

The first Tim Hortons restaurant opened in 1946 in Ontario, Canada and was created by hockey legend, Tim Horton.
