A vehicle went through the ice on Lake Minnetonka Wednesday morning, prompting yet another warning from Hennepin County officials about deteriorating ice conditions on metro lakes.

"Folks, do not ignore those 'Thin Ice' signs," the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office tweeted. "Ice conditions across the County have deteriorated greatly and there's more warm weather in the forecast."

The incident happened near Wayzata Beach around 11 a.m. The driver was able to get out before the SUV became too submerged, and was removed from the lake a short time later.

This is the first vehicle in Hennepin County to go through the ice this winter, the sheriff's office said.
