Stolen car crashes into pond after police chase, 4 arrested

EDINA, Minn. (KMSP) - Four people were arrested in Edina, Minnesota Friday after they drove into a pond while attempting to flee police in a stolen vehicle.
At 12:39 p.m., police received a call about four suspicious people in a vehicle in the area of Chantry Road, according to City of Edina public safety spokesperson Kaylin Eidsness. Shortly after receiving the call, an officer spotted a vehicle matching the description on Interlachen Boulevard. They ran the license plate and discovered the vehicle was stolen.
The suspects refused to pull over and led the police on a short chase down Interlachen Boulevard. The vehicle tried to evade officers by driving through the Interlachen Country Club golf course, but crashed into a pond.
The suspects fled on foot and were apprehended a short time later. They have not yet been charged.
