State Patrol looking for Honda CRV involved in fatal Forest Lake crash
FOREST LAKE, Minn. (KMSP) - The Minnesota State Patrol is asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle that was in the area of a fatal crash in Forest Lake, Minnesota on the morning of Friday, Nov. 18.
The crash took place shortly after 4:40 a.m. on Interstate 35 between the Highway 97 and Broadway Avenue exits. Ena Bhatia, 21, of St. Paul was killed when she fell from the back of a motorcycle on the interstate. The driver of the motorcycle, identified as Myles Eckman, 23, fled the scene of the crash. He was later located and taken into custody.
The crash remains under investigation.
The State Patrol is looking to interview the driver of a 2002-2006 Honda CRV they believe was in the area at the time of the crash and may have struck Bhatia. Investigators believe the driver may not have known they struck a person.
