St. Paul office shooting suspect arrested in Stillwater after chase

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - The suspect in a Cathedral Hill office shooting was arrested Thursday night in Stillwater, Minn. after an 11-mile chase that started in Chisago County.

St. Paul police were called to the 300 block of Selby Avenue at about 4 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located the victim with apparent gunshot wounds in a second-floor office above W.A. Frost restaurant. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thursday night, the suspected shooter was located near Shafer, Minn. After an 11-mile police chase, 37-year-old Ryan David Petersen was arrested without incident near Stillwater, Minn.

The Ramsey County medical examiner is working to determine an exact cause of death and an identification of the victim. This is an open and active investigation. The Saint Paul Police Department is asking anyone who may have information to call 651-266-5650.
