St. Paul law office shooting victim: Chase Passauer, 23

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - St. Paul police have identified the victim in Thursday’s Cathedral Hill law office shooting as 23-year-old Chase Passauer of Minneapolis.

Police were called to the 300 block of Selby Avenue in St. Paul at about 4 p.m. Thursday, where they found the young law clerk in the second-floor offices of North Star Criminal Defense. Passauer was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thursday night, the suspected shooter was located near Shafer, Minn. in Chisago County. After an 11-mile police chase, 37-year-old Ryan David Petersen was arrested without incident near Stillwater, Minn.
