South Dakota teen gives $30,000 thank you to Shriners Hospital

A South Dakota girl who has spent most of her young life in and out of the hospital is giving back in a big way. 15-year-old Donika Bjorke is donating more than $30,000 to Shriners Hospitals in the Twin Cities and Chicago.

Bjorke was diagnosed with Marfan syndrome when she was just 5-years-old. The genetic disorder causes abnormalities in her heart, skeletal system and feet.

She says this is her way of saying thank you. Bjorke raised the money through various raffles, even giving a brand new car away.
