Sheriff: Man with metal detector gropes teen in Ramsey, Minn. park
RAMSEY, Minn. (KMSP) - The Anoka County sheriff’s office is looking for a man who was using a metal detector in Emerald Pond Park in Ramsey, Minn. on Monday, Aug. 15. According to the sheriff, a teenage girl said she was inappropriately touched by the man after asking him about the metal detector.
Emerald Pond Park is located on the 6000 block of 142nd Ave NW in Ramsey. The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-20s with a medium build, approximately 5’ 7, short messy dirty blond hair, a light shadow of a beard and a tattoo on one bicep. There were two vehicles seen in the parking lot at the time -- a dark sedan and a gray colored van.
Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to call the Anoka County sheriff’s office at 763-427-1212. The case remains under the investigation of the Ramsey Police Department and the Anoka County sheriff’s office criminal investigation division.
