Severe flooding damage closes roads in Carlton County, Minn.
CARLTON COUNTY, Minn. (KMSP) - Authorities in Carlton County, Minnesota, announced Sunday morning that a section of Highway 23 by the Nemadji River is impassible due to flooding damage.
Other roads affected by Saturday's storms include County Road 8 east and west of County Road 11 in Barnum Township, which authorities say is impassible. There is also a large wash out in the 600 block of County Road 8 in Holyoke Township, where the road will be closed.
Officials also report an impassible road at the 4100 block of County Road 11 in Barnum Township and at the 4600 block of County Road 13 in Moose Lake Township.
The highway department and the Minnesota Department of Transportation are working on repairing the roads.
