Prince tribute concert to be held at Xcel Energy Center

The official Prince tribute concert will be held in October at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, according to a venue official.

Prince's family originally planned to hold the show at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Instead, the concert will be held on Oct. 13 at the Xcel Energy Center and tickets will go on sale on Monday at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.

Ticket prices range from $19.99 to $150. According to Ticketmaster there is a 6 ticket limit per household.

According to public relations agency The Door, the concert features a list of big stars including Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, Chaka Khan, John Mayer, Tori Kelly, Anita Baker, Doug E. Fresh, Luke James, Bilal, Mint Condition along with Prince’s inner circle, Morris Day & The Time, Judith Hill and Liv Warfield. The New Power Generation led by Morris Hayes and members of 3RDEYEGIRL will also perform.

In the press release, Prince’s sister Sharon Nelson commented, "The family is extremely excited to provide an opportunity for the world to participate in the tribute for our brother Prince. This concert will be an event not to be missed.”
